CUGA MEMBERSHIP

Membership benefits include the ability to compete at sanctioned tournaments, including World Championships, Canadian Nationals and many other tournaments in Canada and United States. When an entire club registers, the club can get insurance, which is a requirement of many pools. The Association also supports the national teams representing Canada at international events, including by fundraising assistance.

What CUGA does:

  • Sanctioning body for Underwater Sports in Canada (presently only hockey, and ongoing conversations with rugby)
  • Oversees organization of Canadian National Championships
  • Organizes and administers all Canadian National Teams attending the World Championships for Underwater Hockey
  • Liaises with International Federations regarding underwater sports
  • Promotes underwater sports in Canada
